Basy Shaked

Practical, compassionate, direct, and deeply human.

Portrait of Basy Shaked

Basy Shaked founded and directed Tzofiah, a residential treatment center for at-risk teenage girls, for thirteen years. During that time, she worked alongside a multidisciplinary mental health team while developing extensive experience and training in emotional health, relationships, addiction, parenting, and personal growth.

Today, Basy works with individuals, couples, and parents as a marriage counselor, parenting coach, and DBT and mindfulness educator.

Her approach brings together practical tools from DBT and mindfulness with relationship work, emotion regulation, self-awareness, and psycho-spiritual growth. She helps people understand the patterns that keep them stuck, develop greater capacity to meet life skillfully, and reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity, meaning, and inner direction.

At the heart of Basy’s work is the belief that healing is not only about solving problems. It is about becoming more conscious, more connected to self and God, and more able to live in alignment with who you are and what matters most.

Ways to Work With Basy

Support that meets you where your life actually is.

01

Individual Sessions

One-on-one work that brings together trauma healing, practical skills, emotion regulation, mindfulness, parts work, and deeper self-understanding. We look at what gets activated, what patterns keep repeating, what different parts of you are trying to protect, and what helps you return to a wiser, more grounded place within yourself. The goal is not only insight. It is to help you build the capacity to live with more choice, clarity, self-trust, and alignment with the person you are becoming.

02

Couples & Relationship Counseling

Relationships can become one of the most powerful places for growth. By using the relationship itself as a place to look within, we can better understand our patterns, needs, fears, and ways of protecting ourselves — and begin to shift what happens between us.

We work together to become more grounded in ourselves while staying open-hearted toward each other, creating more honesty, compassion, emotional safety, and connection.

As each person grows, the relationship has room to change too.

03

Parenting

Coaching for parents who want to lead with both warmth and steadiness — understanding what sits beneath behavior while offering clear, compassionate boundaries and calm containment.

We work on accessing the parent you want to be, so connection, trust, respect, and love can flourish without losing structure or leadership.

04

Workshops & Groups

Practical, engaging workshops blending DBT, mindfulness, emotion regulation and relationship skills to support greater awareness, resilience, connection and meaningful growth.

05

Retreats

Immersive time away for presence, embodiment and growth — including the Mindfully One women's retreat experience.

06

Speaking & Facilitation

Talks and facilitated conversations for conferences, communities, schools and private groups, shaped around your audience.

Marriage & Relationship Counseling

You don't need someone else to change in order to enhance your relationship.

Two hands holding a glowing, mended heart — a symbol of relationship healing

Most of us know the moment well. Something is said and suddenly we are triggered. We react, shut down, over-function, fight to be understood, or lose ourselves trying to keep the peace.

What becomes possible when you can stay connected to yourself, even when the person in front of you isn’t changing?

Basy’s work explores the patterns beneath our reactions through the lenses of attachment, differentiation, and self-awareness. Grounded in DBT, mindfulness, practical relationship skills, and psycho-spiritual wisdom, the work is not about becoming less emotional or less affected.

It is about becoming more conscious, more regulated, and more able to stay rooted in who you want to be while remaining open to real connection.

A DBT-based journey

Embrace

Embrace — a DBT-based workshop series for womenEmbrace — a DBT-based workshop series for men

Embrace is a 25-session DBT-based journey for women who want to feel more grounded, connected, intentional, and fully themselves.

Together, we learn practical tools for navigating emotions, relationships, stress, and everyday life with greater clarity and less reactivity. We work with DBT skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — but the experience is much more than learning techniques.

It is a warm, intimate space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, deepen trust in your inner wisdom, strengthen your relationship with the sacred, and practice meeting life with more presence, courage, and faith.

There is something powerful about doing this work in sisterhood. Over time, the group becomes a supportive community where women can learn, laugh, reflect, be real, and grow alongside one another.

You will build skills to stay present when life gets intense, regulate difficult emotions, tolerate discomfort without losing yourself, communicate more clearly, create healthier boundaries, and cultivate deeper connection in your relationships, with yourself, and with God.

Men's DBT groups are also available — the same practical skills in a grounded, facilitator-led space for men.

  • 25 two-hour sessions
  • 150 NIS per session
  • Morning and evening cycles available
  • Small, warm, facilitator-led groups for women and for men

In Their Words
“Basy is unlike any therapist I have ever worked with — and I have been in therapy for over 35 years.”

“Basy has literally saved my life and my marriage. She has taught us how to be our own individual selves while also being partners, and how to live with those two realities at the same time. As two adults who both come from trauma, our triggers were taking over. Thankfully, we have been working with Basy for over two years, and our relationship continues to grow deeper from a grounded and healthy place. I am so grateful to Basy.”

“It’s such a gift working with Basy! She is so wise, relatable and professional. Her DBT course is a must for anyone looking to function more efficiently in this world, to better themselves and have a system for working through difficult emotions. Basy uses her many skills to help couples navigate difficult relationship dynamics using a method that worked really well for us. I’m so grateful for learning from this wise woman!”

Mindfully One Retreats

Mindfully One is an immersive women's retreat for coming home to yourself, to God, and to what matters most.

We step away from the noise and demands of ordinary life and create space to slow down, listen, soften, learn and reconnect.

Through mindfulness, psychology, nervous system work, Jewish wisdom, movement, creativity, deep conversation, beautiful food, nature, rest and sisterhood, we explore what keeps us disconnected and what helps us return.

At the heart of Mindfully One is the movement from fragmentation toward Echad. From feeling pulled in a hundred directions, fighting ourselves and reacting automatically, toward greater presence, inner alignment, compassion, choice and connection.

This is spiritual work, but it is deeply grounded in real life. The point is not to disappear into some beautiful retreat bubble. It is to learn how to meet our actual lives differently. Our relationships. Our bodies. Our pain. Our choices. Our prayer. Our joy. The ordinary moments where life is actually happening.

There is depth here, but also laughter, beauty, warmth, delicious meals, movement, tears, silence and the extraordinary experience of women showing up honestly together.

You don't leave needing to become someone new.

You leave remembering more of who you are, what you know, and how to find your way back.

“The Mindfully One experience gave me everything I came for: nourishment of body and soul, a sisterhood of like-minded powerful women, inspiration, and the tools to begin healing gently and profoundly. I cried, I laughed, I breathed, I rested, and I engaged with the godliness in myself and in all of us.”
